Incident Management Training
for IT Operations Level 1 Certification 8 hours (four 2-hour Sprints over four days) $1,999 In conjunction with the University of Northern British Columbia (UNBC), Blackrock 3 offers a Level 1 course that builds foundational skills, knowledge, and abilities for individuals who take on leadership, communications, or specialist roles during Information Technology (IT) incidents. The course includes numerous small group exercises designed to give hands on experience implementing incident response best practices from the emergency services Incident Management System.
The course is organized into four two-hour Sprints conducted on the Zoom platform. All Sprints are led by Blackrock 3 Partners personnel providing instructional content, coaching, and immediate feedback on participant engagement. This course fulfills the prerequisite requirement for enrollment in any Incident Management for IT Operations Level 2 training. |

ONLINE INTRODUCTORY COURSE

Incident Management System Awareness
60-90 minute online course self-paced, accessible 24/7 $300 This course is introductory level, and assumes no previous understanding of IMS. Through written material, video instruction and a quiz, participants gain a basic understanding of the Incident Management System (IMS) as a best practice for IT Ops. Topics include: shifting perspective from normal operations to incident response; overview of the Incident Commander, Liaison Officer and Subject Matter Experts (SME) roles; introduction to bridge personalities; and an overview of incident communication strategies and tactics.
