Blackrock 3 Partners Announce Online Incident Commander/Key Responder Training Courses
ALAMEDA, CA February 25, 2021 -- Blackrock 3 Partners (BRP), a global Incident Management firm and creator of the first online Incident Management Training Academy, announced today that the winners of the 2020 Incident Commander Awards have completed their Level 1 certifications. The 2020 Incident Commander Awards, which were sponsored by Blackrock 3 and BigPanda, the leader in AIOps-powered Event Correlation and Automation, honors IT Ops, NOC/SOC, DevOps, SRE or Support professionals who go above and beyond the call for IT incident response.
Five individuals were awarded the 2020 Incident Commander award during BigPanda’s virtual conference:
“Incident Commanders are key to the forward momentum of the resolution effort. Without confident and clear leadership, incidents tend to wander forward with little direction or clarity,” said Rob Schnepp, founding partner of BRP and a longtime Fire Department Chief Officer and Incident Commander in the San Francisco Bay Area. “This year’s group of Incident Commanders have shown repeated willingness and talent to lead a team of responders to solve outages and other IT issues at all hours and in high-pressure situations.”
“We are delighted to co-sponsor this annual award and proud of the important work being done by these five IT Operations professionals,” said Iain Armstrong, Vice President of Sales Engineering at BigPanda. “While we are celebrating Lynn, Jackson, Eric, Sharmila and David today, there are thousands of others working tirelessly who deserve this recognition.”
